Social media is an important way for us to communicate with the patients and caregivers we serve. It gives us the opportunity to engage on platforms where patients and caregivers are already active and talking about important topics. We want to contribute to these important online communities and it is imperative that we do so in a responsible way. As a healthcare company, we operate within a rigorously regulated environment and we take the guidelines set forth by organizations, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, seriously. The guidelines set forth here are intended to outline how we engage on social media, and how we provide patients and their loved ones with information that may support them throughout their treatment journeys.

All of our social media channels are created and operated by Adlon Therapeutics L.P., which is a subsidiary of Purdue Pharma L.P. Our social media channels are intended for people in the United States, and as such, our content is in English only. We use our social media channels to provide resources for consideration and information on important health topics and to learn from the community. This is not a forum for medical advice and our content should never be considered a replacement for professional medical advice. We abide by a certain set of principles when we engage on social media. We will always be transparent about our affiliation and straightforward in how we present information.

Social media channels are often a place for discussion, but because of the regulated environment in which we operate, our ability to interact with you may be limited. While we encourage you to interact with our posts through likes and shares, we do reserve the right to delete any comments or interactions deemed inappropriate. Examples of the types of posts that are not permitted are posts that:

  • Are disparaging in nature, use profanity, support any type of discriminatory behavior or have graphic language or content
  • Aim to sell commercial products or services
  • Spam the community
  • Ask medical questions or report adverse events*
  • Provide users with medical advice
  • Discuss off-label use of medications
